Research interests:

I am working on detailed numerical simulations to research the influence of solid surfaces on free surface flows like thin liquid films or droplets (see paper and paper). For this purpose, I apply the complex Cahn-Hilliard-Navier-Stokes equations on flows involving moving contact lines (see paper). Recently, I have started to work on the optimal control of droplet positions and shapes using contact angle distributions (i.e., electrowetting).
